Carnarvon Gorge Wilderness Lodge

A day’s drive from Brisbane lies the majestic, Carnarvon Gorge stretching out over 330,000 hectares of rugged high mountain ranges descending down into lush serene rainforests and pristine meandering river systems carved out by massive glacial flows a very, very long time ago. The Gorge is steeped in geological history and from the early indigenous peoples to the early European explorers in 1850’s and the settlers that came after to establish the farming and cattle stations in the area.

Carnarvon Gorge Wilderness Lodge is the closest accommodation to the Gorge! With plenty of active wildlife to see up close, and a saltwater swimming pool. Carnarvon Gorge Wilderness Lodge offers a bush holiday in style.

The distinctive safari-style cabins are set among native trees and ancient macrozamia palms and offer en suite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, a small bar fridge plus cooling and heating. The Lodge has two fully equipped barbeque kitchens and al fresco dining area, for guests to self-cater and enjoy a meal surrounded by the ancient tranquillity of Carnarvon Gorge.
